Paul graduated with a B.A. in History & German from the University of California, Berkeley in 1996. Paul graduated with high honors and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Paul attended New York University School of Law and received his J.D. in 2000. While at New York University School of Law, he was an editor for NYU Journal of International Law & Politics. During the summer of 1998, Paul clerked for Federal Judge Vaughn Walker, Northern District of California, in San Francisco. The following summer he clerked for international law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP in San Francisco.

Upon graduation, Paul moved to Portland, Oregon with his wife and native Oregonian Stacey Berg and worked several years as a commercial litigator at Perkins Coie LLP, a large multi-national law firm before joining the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office as a Deputy District Attorney. While with the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office, Paul handled approximately 50 trials and presented several felony cases to the grand jury while working in the office’s property crime unit.

Paul joined our firm in 2008 and became a partner soon thereafter. As a trial attorney, Paul represents of a wide variety of businesses and individuals in court. Paul’s diverse legal background in both complex civil and criminal matters makes him a perfect fit for Davis Galm Law’s broad practice. His practice includes business litigation, estate planning and litigation, criminal defense, and personal injury.
